First of all knowing that I live in the Houston area, I wanted to let you all know I'm ok, my house is ok other than some leaks in the garage.  My family just north of here is also ok!  We were lucky the reservoir behind my house didn't flood, the worst of the storms hit all around us but my neighborhood came out fine.

Other Updates:
My mom's sweet 17/18  year old cat, Izzie finally passed away and has moved on to the rainbow bridge.  We knew it was coming because she had been having mobility issues and was completely blind earlier this year.  We also lost Mo the guinea pig to old age as well he was about 6 or 7.

Mom's cancer is still under control with immuno therapy but her immune system was down so she's back on meds for that.

Dad's truck died and he got a new Santa Fe and he's been busy with Boy Scout meetings, training, and events.  Mom's been enjoying her time playing minecraft (both parents have been retired for a year now).

Little brother is killing it in school as a Junior!  Older brother has paid off his student loans and is still seeking work in graphic animation, currently working on an independent project to add to his portfolio.

This past May my work announced that due to cutbacks at the school district my job was no longer.  I spent all summer looking for work that would allow me to pay rent, bills, and car payments (that's right I got a car!).  I was able to get part time work as a tutor for families within the same school district zoned areas and it was enough money along with residual pay from the school job that has floated me right up to my new job's first payday next week.

I was finally able to land a job a few days before the new school year as a 10th grade English teacher across town on the other side of Houston.  I've also decided to keep tutoring the clients that requested me for the school year, changing tutors every few months does nothing to help them so I did not want to put them through that again.  With the lease ending soon BF and I have started looking for another rental home or large apartment as we'll be on our own but do want an extra room to use as office space and guest room.  We wont be moving too close to my new job but halfway there at most so that I can continue seeing my tutoring clients.

Today as the roads are clearing up on our path to Mom and Dad's BF and I are going to take advantage of the week off work to visit my family before school really gets underway.  We've got alternate routes just in case we encounter any roads that are still flooded.
Nature Spirit RWE
I've been obsessed with "lettering" lately and being a person who loves autumn, autumn colors, autumn scents, and of course the fox (which is a representation of the autumn season as well) Ralph Waldo Emerson's quote was begging to be used.

***Fox was based on a google image that came up in a search for "fox clipart" I do not claim to be the original creator of this fox I merely tweaked it as I recreated it to illustrate this quote.  I did not plan to share this image here for that reason but figured since I have posted it on my own site that I ought to put it here too.
